Some Fine Tuning
I read it and all of the comments so far (47).
Seems a lot of people have a problem with the more activist Republican Party, i.e., the one that wanders into your bedroom and orders you around. I say, take the cue from Barry Friggin' Goldwater and discover your minimal (libertarian) roots. That "culture of life" stuff is none of the government's business.
And here's how to solve the Iraq War: Leave. Then the other nations will say, "Uh-oh, the U.S. left a mess. Guess we have to go in there with a multinational force and set it right." It's a crazy way to get the rest of the world involved (which it should be), but it'll work. (We are, of course, not doing that because it would mean leaving the oil fields behind, but what good have they been to anyone so far?)

No thanks..
I won't check it out. It's time for the RINOs to die out and be voted out. We won't get back to conservatism with establisment RINOs still lurking.

Define RINO
Brian -- But one must ask who is a RINO these days. I think it would be far clearer to start talking about CINOs (Conservatives In Name Only). The RINOs are perhaps In Name Only, but they're still Republicans. I think you want to re-tool the Republican Party, in other words. Incidentally, the Dems had this same problem during the Clinton years, and they've worked it out, at least for the nonce. (Making them an easier target, I might add. Take from that what you wish.)

Israel
The challenges that Israel faced in 1948 and the challenges that it faces today in 2008 are the same. Israel for the past 60 years has been fighting for its existence. My concern is that many Americans believe that Israeli issue is not of their particular concern. Well it is. Iran, is trying to become the regional power. If it becomes the regional power, American should expect 10, 20 or even 30 dollars per gallon at the pump. Don't say it’s not feasible, it’s possible. Israel is the only force that so far has not just protected its interest, but also European and American.
Therefore Americans need it continues to support Israel in its endover to secure its people.
