And here we go...

Frank Calls for Major Defense Cuts, 'Eventual' Tax Hike.

The best thing about liberals like this is that they just don’t know when to keep quiet.  The worst thing, Barney Frank is actually an able legislator...thankfully the rest of his House leadership is not.  All the better for Republican fundraising and political fodder, and for our chances of winning back seats.

Ring the Bell, find Paul Revere, ..
This from the crowd that couldn't repeat enough, "we love the troops; it's the mission we hate."

Right. The crowd that never attended an Air Show at FighterTown or Wright Patterson, never went to a Navy League function or toured a Coast Guard Cutter, Armory or Buffalo Soldier Museum.

Now, read the intention, 25% cut in expenditures of the United States Military? When we need to replenish stores, make the forces current with the next missions, up grade our hardware and systems and pay for serious retention of our seasoned NCO's and middle range Officer Grades? Is he on drugs?

No, he's just a corrupt and tainted Democrat that has no respect for power and its projection or the madate of Government to protect the public.

Thank God for those Women and Men that are returning from these terror conflicts. At least they will be present to speak to this treachery and oppose it with the force of their experience and presence.

As to the tax hike, DUH! As if we don't see the tax credit plan as a mere signature loan to those with no reason to apply to be paid by those that will be getting the bills in 2010.

Sen. Obama is a fraud. Congressman Frank touts the fraud and chortles as he thinks of it.

Stand fast Citizens, "something wicked this way comes."

Barney Frank an "able legislator"?
RIGHT!!!!!
When visiting his male lover at Fannie Mae, if that puffer had stayed off his knees long enough to really perform the oversight he was tasked with, we might not be in the mess we're in now. This "man" needs to be investigated and prosecuted for conflict of interest. If convicted, it's a win-win situation for everyone. The taxpayers will be shed of him....and imagine the fun he'll have in the prison showers.

Opportunity knocks
Tom is right.

Imagine when Iran goes nuclear, who is going to contain them? Germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Canada, not a chance; a weak American attempt will be made but Israel will have to nuke Qom to survive.

And who will Barney blame then?

Next time you think about things like gas prices, conjure up the face of Putin, that is the guy you are going to be negotiating the price of gas and oil with.

Saddam had coined the Security council for less than a billion bucks and was on the verge of having all of the Security Council resolutions over-turned Russia, China or France. If you think Saddam had no intention of getting a bomb, you simply do not know how to think.

Iran has done exactly that, while the perfidious French (and the rest of the EU) 'negoiated' with Iran, they have given the Mullah's all they need to build a bomb.

This is what happens when weak-kneed socialists 'negotiate' with people who know they are not serious and are unwilling to take real action to stop them. They play the game but do exactly what they want. In the end, the guys who kicked Carter all over the world are going to starve you in your homes.

No oil means no intensive farming, no intensive farming means half the yields. Half the yield means half of you starve.

It isn't going to be a pretty world out there if Obama is elected and unfettered with a Congress that is responsible to nothing but their own bankrupt ideology and greed.

This is what you buy when you vote without seriously understanding the real goals of this group. The goals are obvious; read Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"

When you are in a socialist quagmire, and world events turn as Russia gets more adventerous and the Middle East starts to melt down, think hard about the signs you ignored when you voted for an obvious Marxist who you thought was just a slightly 'liberal' black guy.

Cheers,

Bloefeld

Stewardship failures
The failure to be faithful stewards of our own money as private citizens and public money as elected officials is symptomatic of other stewardship failures. Although we think more highly of ourselves, voters are fairly unsophisiticated in the art of reasoning; no different from the hicks the founders purposely aimed to prevent from directly controlling government.

The underlying principals of our form of government are not based on economic policies, but on the Constitution including the Bill of Rights. A poor decision or policy is not dangerous as long as someone can challenge that policy and have opportunities to change it.

The number one issue, according to the news, is economics. As mad as voters are at "greedy" people, they are hypocritically greedy themselves in the form of being lured by promises of government benevolence.

The reinforcement of the Fairness Doctrine, possible gun restrictions, more liberal abortion rights, a promised international crisis, etc are all minimal concerns, I guess.

The ME generation is alive and well.

HAH! This from DeLay, of all people!
DeLay, who during the years his Party dominated the three branches of government (and before he was tossed out on his arse for corruption), essentially guided this country to the current mighty mess we are in today!

WHY would TH use a Republican HACK like DeLay to rail about the Dems controlling the legislative branch? It is a mystery, truly. Heck, why not ask Cunningham - who is currently serving time for HIS corrupt sins - what HE thinks as well. Or Bob Ney, or Abramoff.

The lesson here is that yes, absolute power can corrupt - especially when you fall on the side of corrupting power, like the GOP has all along. From Nixon on down, it's been one bad apple after another pushing for de-regulation, tax cuts to the wealthiest, oily leaders in oil giants pockets and warmongers. Greedy war profiteers must be tossed out - which is precisely what we're doing. The Dems will HAVE to stand up for what is right in this country or they will be out in four years - it's as simple as that.

Finally, a word about absolute power. Karl Rove and the machinations behind Bush (Cheney, Rummy et al) have sought absolute power for YEARS, and for the sole reason of doing JUST what they've done in the last 8 - Plunder American good will, wealth and economy. They've divided the country through greed and ugly partisanship. They've profited mightily for their chosen few and left the rest of us desperately behind.

On November 4 we have a chance for big changes and hopefully much better leadership (it couldn't get any worse). The pathetic attempts to fearmonger people in voting for the same-old, same-old won't work this time.

Real Straight Talk
Fer chrissakes, stop whining, locate your gonads, and prepare for a little more socialism. You guys had your chance and you blew it! Minimal regulation of our country's financial sector only resulted in unbridled greed taking over. That's YOUR fault, not the Left's. The Left will regulate and redistribute, and, God, I feel so SORRY for all those rich bastards who will be so terribly inconvenienced by it all.

So Barney Frank will raise taxes?

It's about friggin' time.

Somebody's gotta pay off that debt, that massive debt condoned by a Republican Congress and a compliant Bush, and I don't want it to be my grandchildren. The sooner the better. The interest is killing us.

We blew our chance
is about the only thing being said that makes sense. When does the public decide you Dems blew your chance? A >50% disapproval on Congress by the US people, and Nancy and Harry can duck the responsibilty? http://www.pollingreport.com/CongJob.htm

You can cut defense by 50% and you can't find enough bucks to support the Medicare deficit. Why don't you Dems realize that your Great Society cost us trillions and got us nowhere. You have the same complaints as before, but we all are complaining about the poor public education in addition. See
http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/TRSUM/index.html and
http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/0206/p02s02-usmi.html. You can't pay for a 7% GDP deficit by cutting a 4% line item.

Nancy, Pet Goat, Gene don't get it
I had to laugh the other day when I saw a Nick Lampson ad on TV trying to "tar" his opponent with the ghost of Tom DeLay. "Do we really want to go through THAT again?" the announcer asked.

He must think his constituents have very short memories. Apparently they're supposed to believe that even one of Ronnie Earle's frivolous charges has stuck. Nancy, Pet Goat, and Planet Gene apparently think so too.

And they're supposed to forget that it was DeLay who spearheaded the correction to our Congressional redistricting. Texas has not been carried by a Democrat presidential candidate since 1976, and hadn't elected a Democrat Senator since 1988, but because of the rank gerrymandering still in effect in 2000, we were still sending more Democrats than Republicans to the House of Representatives. Tom fixed that, and got Ronnie Earle on his back for his trouble.

Republicans are firmly in charge here in Texas thanks to Tom. And Lampson is a placeholder, elected only because DeLay had won that year's Republican primary before vacating the seat, requiring Lampson's Republican opponent (who handily won the special election to serve out the remaining two months of the term) to run as a write-in, which has been done successfully only four times in the history of US House elections (even so, she still got 42% of the vote). Nick will soon be joining that other local Democrat titan Chris Bell in running for dog catcher.

So, thanks again, Tom. And adios, Nick.

Barney, pick up your hammer...
If Barney Frank is so gung-ho on "affordable housing", he should pick up his hammer and join Habitat for Humanity.
New definition of "national insanity":
1)Be shown irrefutable evidence that "back-door socialism" --planned, facilitated and defended by the likes of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, the CBC, ACORN, Nancy Pelosi, etc.---kicked off this economic meltdown via government-mandated subprime loans.
2)Proceed to give that crowd, under the aura of The Chosen One, complete federal control.

The court matter does not necessarily mean that BHO is "eligible." What it means is that Mr. Berg does not have sufficient nexus (standing) to bring the case (sue). It may take the US Attoreny General or someone else. It's akin to saying just because a jury finds a defendant not guilty does not mean he's innocent. BHO's status, if not a naturalized citizen, has not been proven!

I can't believe any military man voting for Obama, but, there will be those who will.
Obama is about cutting back on the military, and if military men don't think this would keep them from getting what they deserve they better do their homework, and research what happened when clinton did the same thing.
Obama isn't about the military rights!
He spit in the face of all military.
If I were a military person I would refuse to serve under an Obama government.

But, knowing the devotion of most military men to defend our country, they will serve.

Even though they would be under a racist, socialist bent in mind man.

Tom, I hope you join the new conservative party that will form when the Republicans finally get buried. You are the only one I know of who is willing to do the right thing, which is to win no matter how you have to do it. Good does not triumph over evil by playing fair. We didn't beat the Japs or the Nazis using Roberts Rules of Order, and we are not going to beat the liberal fascists using "across the aisle", "bipartisan" surrender tactics of MacCain and the RINO-publicans. Please come back and show them how to beat the crap out of Democrats.
