If some folks out there are going to compare Pelosi’s incompetent tactics to my previous leadership in the House, let’s get a few facts straight:

1.    If I were a rank and file member, I would have voted against it.
2.    If I were in leadership, that would not have been the bill.
3.    And we would have won.

UPDATE: Thanks, Rich!

Lowry is running for Mr. Cynic Award
I've read his last two blogs - all hindsight observations. He adds nothing of interest.

Congressman Delay
I wish you were still in the house!! We need you!

Like, maybe if we weren't cheerleaders..
Pelosi would like to propose a constitutional amendment raising the number of Representatives in the House and transferring selected members of the "4th estate" to fill the positions.

Mainstream media responds, "Well, like, we can't really do it right now. We've already agreed to be cheerleaders for Obama for the remainder of the current political season. Like, maybe in mid-November?..."

Pelosi heads back to the spa for another botox injection.

Remember when?
Remember a time when America had leaders with character? Do we have to go back to the late 1700's? For me, just a rear view mirror glance at Reagan will do. As a matter of fact, looking at Sarah Palin's bright and smiling face reminds me of the down home, folksy way of Reagan.

Diane
RED Nancy's chronic stupidity and cupidity can be easily explained. I read in a magazine I got from my health food store that researchers discovered botox traveled to the brain within three days of it's being injected into the cheeks of lab rats. They also discovered that the botox traveled to the brain where memory is
situated..splains everything..RED NANCY becomes stupider with each injection..I think she's due
her cheeks are sagging.

What
Will we be honoring Pelosi for her ability to funnel money, year after year, from her PAC to her husbands company all under the radar?

And Now For the First REASONABLE Comment
I agree that Nancy Pelosi has been a disappointment ever since she got the Speakership of the House. She took impeachment off the table (when it would have been SO easy!), and she always approaches a microphone with a kind of silly-a-- grin that is just unnerving. Now the last straw: Her tin-ear political rant during the bailout debate was completely ill-considered and uncalled for. We need to replace her ASAP. She will lose the Democrats the election!

spineless
Is there nobody in the GOP with a spine to stand up for Conservatism, the Rule of Law, and America and tell the Commies on the Left this is wrong, Demoncrat heads should roll, and we will not let this nation become the next ruined socialist experiment.

Acorn
Acorn the recepient of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Reminds me of the Philippines even the dead vote. I've been in America 45 years I learned I'm still voting there. Philippines is only 3rd in the most corrupt countries in Asia, Comes Obama if he wins in November and we will be number 1 corrupt country in the world.

That's why you were forced out,
because you were an effective Conservative. The same reason Gingrich was force out. He balanced the budget and everyone was wanting goodies to hand out to their districts.

Don't Visualize This
CATSCATS -- Yeah, but I just hate the thought of all these pent-up conspiracy theorists in their mother's basement, clippings thumbtacked to the panelling, doing nothing but undermining Obama's efforts for the next four-to-eight years.

Do you recall the joke Walter Mondale made a few months after he lost his bid for the presidency?:

"I wanted to run for President in the worst way. And I did."

Poor McCain will be saying that come November 5th.

I am shocked
I live in the 22nd. I am shocked to see on a blog at Sweetness & Light that you took $5,000 from Fannie Mae in 2004. Where was the oversight? Please explain how you viewed this money and what you thought about the operations at Fannie/Freddie. I was an avid supporter but now I just don't understand.
