If there has ever been a situation crying out for clarity, it is the ongoing “dispute” between Israel – a Western, democratic ally of the United States – and Hamas – the Iran-sponsored terrorist organization that has launched 4,000 missiles into Israel over the past few years. We are lucky – though not nearly so lucky as the Israeli people – that Israel’s government has finally had enough and has decided to remove the Hamas threat once and for all.
And yet, listening to the statesmen of the international community, one gets the impression that the whole thing is Israel’s fault. From the United Nations, the European Union, and even the United States, one hears calls for an end to the violence, as if the terrorism itself and the self-defense of the victims is morally equivalent. Meanwhile, the international media is shocked – shocked! – that Palestinian civilians have been caught in the crossfire.
Crossfire? Hamas launches its rockets, boards its terrorists, and hides its weapons along beaches, in mosques, and in cemeteries. They do this on purpose so that any retaliation by Israel can be spun to a gullible (and disturbingly anti-Israel) media as an attack against civilians. Meanwhile, reporters fail to mention that when Israeli civilians die at the hands of Hamas attacks, it’s not a regrettable consequence of war: for Hamas, killing innocent Israelis is the whole point.
The Bush Administration has been supportive of Israel for eight years, and, despite a few nods to diplomatic niceties, remains largely supportive with Secretary Rice’s call for a “ceasefire that would not allow a reestablishment of the status quo ante.” But it’s more than that. The problem isn’t just that Hamas launches rockets into Israel, but that Hamas exists for one purpose – to kill Jews and destroy Israel. The problem isn’t the conflict – it’s the terrorists.
This new war isn’t really new at all – it’s the same war of survival Israel has been fighting since its founding. It is also the same war the United States is fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, and around the world. Islamist terror isn’t a “strategic partner” or a “global competitor” – it’s a disease, a new manifestation of the same monstrous ideas that once spawned the Gulag, Holocaust, and Killing Fields. This ideology – Islamism, Islamic Fascism, whatever you want to call it – is aggressive, totalitarian, and blood-thirsty. It won’t quit – it needs to be defeated. That’s why we fought back after 9/11, it’s why we sent the surge to Iraq, and it’s why Israel should stop being asked to negotiate with men holding hand-grenades.
We’re all for an “end of the violence.” But the violence in the Middle East will not end until the death-cult psychopaths of Hamas and Hezbollah are ended first.
Please Mr. Delay, if you have any influence in Washington help us fight for Jonathan Pollard.
He was not convicted of treason as most think he was convicted over twenty-five years ago of: "passing classified information to an ally" - and that the charge sheet specifically added, "without intent to harm the United States."
Please Call Washington and request that Presedent Bush give clemency to Johnathan Pollard.
Office of the President 202- 456 -1414.

Ask the American citizens if they are tired of their money and moral support going to support Israel. The issue is big enough and has large enough ramifications to qualify for the publics vote. |

Israeli Spy Ben Ami Kadish just pleaded guily in December. His handler out of The Israel Consulate in NYC was the same Israeli Handler as Jonathan Pollard had. Traitor Scum Kadish and Pollard can be Federal Prison Bunkmates.
You're one more Traitor Israel Firster. |

Don Juan writes that if we were in the position of the Palestinians, we'd be behaving in the same way. Conservative William F. Buckley once made a similar point: Speaking of the African National Congress's terrorist-like actions against Apartheit in South Africa, he noted that if he were in their position, he'd be doing exactly what they were doing.
Read about how Israelis have behaved toward the Palestinians they replaced in the Holy Land. One soldier on patrol broke every single egg of a Palestinian egg vendor just to show him who's boss around here. No wonder so many Israeli soldiers report nightmares and have a difficult time adjusting to life after their "service."
Having said all that, I still think the current Israeli action is the only possible solution to the ongoing rocket attacks, which can certainly no longer be tolerated.
But I don't have to be happy about the continual subjugation of a people. And believe me, I'm not.
We're on our way back to Block One, 1948.
Israel as a state has been a resounding failure. |

Tom says that Israel "has decided to remove the Hamas threat once and for all".
Israel has done nothing of the sort. The Hamas "threat" is still there and will continue to be there as long as both sides continue to play the same game that they have been playing for the last 30 years. This is just the latest chapter of a book that seems like it will never end. |

I get a kick out of the Obama Bots posting here.
Israel is a resounding success as a state. The Palestinians had been offered citizenship within Israel, and protection of its laws.
Israel is a postage stamp state in comparison to the land mass occuppied by the Nation of Islam.
Israels success is what inflames Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Sons of Islam.
Israel must destroy Hezbollah and Hamas, and if she needs America;s help doing it, we should be helping all we can.
Hamas doesn't want freedom, they want Sharia Law, and the punishments of stoning and amputation that go along with it.Anyone who supports them is a barbarian.
Tom DeLay is 100% correct. Those who do not think so are afraid that Americans will see that truth. That is why they post their drivil here.
Thank you Tom DeLay. Keep up the good work.
And I pray that Nethanyahu is elected and that he destroys Gaza, and rebuilds it for peaceful Muslims, instead of the HAMAS gangsters who now hold Gaza in totalitarian thrall.

Candor, the Palestinians are already re-digging the tunnels to Egypt to get the rockets back into Gaza, so the shelling of Israel will probably resume soon. So please tell me what all that mighty effort and expense on Israel's part accomplished. Maybe it's time for BOTH sides to look beyond the sword. "Obama bots" are not the only people out there who've noticed how impotent the last several Israeli incursions have been. There have also been lots of Israelis who are beginning to wonder... |

You haven't graced us with your thoughts lately; in fact, you've even removed some of them. Keeping up with a blog too tough for you? Or, like the rest of your fellow wing nuts, have you simply run out of anything useful to say? |

"The other side is the bad guys. They have to go away before we negotiate anything."
Yep, that's a policy that has really worked for everybody over the last 60 years. |

I think it has finally sunk in that his 15 minutes of fame are over. Just look at the sweeping changes Obama is proposing. Anyone trying to stand up to that deluge will surely be knocked over and whisked away in the Great Cleansing Flood.
Seriously, I think he's out job-hunting with the rest of us. |
